I came here to say the same thing

So the RAM trucks with V10 engines had a different V10 than the Viper V10, except for the RAM SRT-10, which did have the Viper V10. Do I have that correct?

Si.

You see, you’re problem is that you’re talking to him like he’s a level headed adult. When in fact he’s actually a 15 year old retard who wasn’t taught not to eat pain chips as a kid.

I had you pegged for more of a “multi-color hair” clown than a solid pink haired one.

Just depends on my mood and which gigantic shoes I’m wearing.

The Viper v10 is in a truck making it a truck engine.

Okay, so multiple people were right, but were still arguing. This happens from time to time. When people start hurling names and insults is when it gets stupid.
![]() 03/29/2016 at 11:44 |

...where the truck that got the Viper engine and wasn’t sold until the mid-2000s apparently came first!
![]() 03/29/2016 at 11:44 |

Wait...so you are telling me that Dodge makes different V-10s for their different frames?! I thought all V-10s were the same?!
MY WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!

Get out.
![]() 03/29/2016 at 11:45 |

Talk to everyone like they are an adult until they prove otherwise. And then stop talking to them.
![]() 03/29/2016 at 11:46 |

Yes. The original Magnum V10 is almost entirely unrelated to the Viper V10. It would just seem like it because Chrysler still haven’t discovered overhead cams :/ It started as an enlarged Magnum 5.9 but then got completely redesigned.

I think when you said “retard”, what you really meant was “idiot”.

Unless it’s the FP, then assume everyone is a 15 year old boy and just not comment.

You fell into the clutches of a troll. You should have known better. It is a funny read to see you get worked up though.
This is the internet, facts and supporting evidence have no place here.
![]() 03/29/2016 at 11:48 |

That is awful.

That was a special kind of stupid going on in those comments. Beginning with the article’s author.

Don’t judge me
![]() 03/29/2016 at 11:56 |

I WILL judge someone who gets this worked up over a minor altercation with some random stranger on the internet.
![]() 03/29/2016 at 11:57 |

Careful, or I’ll make a post complaining about you complaining about me complaining.

We’ve had our fun pointing out that some FP commenters simply refuse to see the trees, the forest, the sky, or even the inside of their own eyelids.
This is where I point out that technically, this is a gray area, and that we don’t want to encourage others to attack the ignorant, which hasn’t seemed to happen, since we seem to all understand that he will likely continue to insist that he is right, because he is so invested in proving that he is, that this won’t go anywhere, even though, technically both of you started off correct . It’s impressive to see it go this far. =)

Yeah, I hesitated about making an Oppo post and then let my frustration take over. My bad.
I’m ready to let it die.

No worries, it was a good read. And as best as I could see, all of the opponauts were well behaved.
![]() 03/29/2016 at 12:11 |

And I’ll make a complaint on your post about you complaining about me complaining about you complaining.

I remember reading (in Popular Mechanics, probably) back when the Viper was new that the engine was derived from the truck V10. It may have been false information, but that kind of early press tends to have legs and feed the “common knowledge” for a long time afterward.

It looks like we have

A Negative Feedback Loop.

I will say that one of the original prototypes was a 5.9L V8 with 2 more cylinders but after changing to aluminum and Lambo getting their hands on it, it did not resemble a “truck” motor anymore.

It was also quite clear what you were saying, versus what Máté said.
